Job Overview
As a Dishwasher, you will be part of our production kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and efficiency across our kitchen operations. Dishwashers uphold the hygiene standards that allow our bakers to focus on producing outstanding baked goods, contributing meaningfully to the overall success of the team.
Duties
Kitchen Sanitation & Cleanliness
Dish & Utensil Cleaning:
Wash all dishes, trays, cake tins, bread bins, and utensils using dishwashing equipment or by hand as required. Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and stored appropriately.
Work Area Maintenance:
Maintain clean and tidy work areas, including dish stations, floors, and kitchen surfaces, following food safety and hygiene protocols.
Equipment Cleaning:
Regularly clean and maintain dishwashing and kitchen equipment, reporting any issues to the management team.
Waste Management:
Assist with daily collection, removal, and proper sorting of garbage, compost, and recycling.
Kitchen Support & Team Collaboration
Food Prep Support:
Support basic food preparation tasks under direction from kitchen staff, where needed.
Inventory & Supplies:
Monitor dishwashing and cleaning supply levels. Notify the team when stock is low or replenishment is needed.
Communication & Teamwork:
Maintain open, respectful communication with all team members. Support a collaborative and efficient kitchen environment.
Positive Culture:
Contribute to a clean, calm, and organized workspace. Contribute to a friendly, supportive team atmosphere. Show initiative and a willingness to help others, and a commitment to Purebread's values.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is an asset, but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Ability to lift up to 20kg.
Legally permitted to work in Canada.
Flexible availability, including weekend shifts and holidays.
Expected Hours
Full-time position. Five days per week (Tuesday - Saturday).
Mix of 7:30am - 3:00pm and 10:30am - 6:00pm shifts.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
