DISHWASHER POSITION

Dishwashers at Impact Kitchen are primarily responsible for washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans. They are also tasked with storing clean dishes, removing trash, cleaning kitchen areas, and performing other duties as needed to assist the Back of House team. As proper food handling, sanitation, and safety are of the utmost importance, a primary role of the Dishwasher is to monitor sanitation and food freshness. This position is highly physical; therefore, individuals must possess a strong level of physical stamina. Ideal candidates are efficient with strong time management skills and communication skills, are team players, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Operation and maintenance of dishwashing unit and dish cleaning areas
• Receiving and storage of all cleaning supplies and chemicals
• Management and storage of daily waste including recycling and organics
• Sweeping, mopping and maintenance of all restaurant areas as they are required
• Ability to execute other custodial duties as needed
• Strict adherence to company, municipal and provincial guidelines as they are related to food safety and safe workplace environments

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required
• Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and work well with others in a team based setting
• Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends as business demands
• Ability to lift up to 50 LBs
• Work Permit required
• Preferred but not required:1 year dishwashing or kitchen helper experience
• Preferred but not required: Strong understanding of food safety and public health practices
