Position: Dishwasher (Summer 2023) Location: Blue River, BC Type: Seasonal, Full-Time Reports to: Restaurant Manager or Designate
Accountability: Responsible for providing guests and staff with clean and sanitized utensils, plate-ware, glassware, and equipment. Sets up and closes down dish machine. Maintains daily cleanliness of kitchen. May help with prep work. This position may be required to work in the Main Lodge Kitchen and Saddle Mountain Restaurant. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role. It is very important to represent the company\xe2\x80\x99s corporate image in an exemplary manner demonstrating superior performance. As a Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing Representative, his/her role will exemplify our brand image as an ambassador and will provide positive brand experiences to all guests.

Function & Tasks:
1. Maintain a clean and sanitary working area making sure to follow all Health & Safety regulations. 2. Wash dishes through the dishwasher (silverware, glasses, china) and scrub pots and pans inside and out. 3. Sweep and mop floors in the entire restaurant including back freezer room, storage room front and back kitchen, and washrooms at the end of your shift and take garbage out including kitchen areas, staff and public washrooms. 4. Clean staff washroom at the end of your shift. 5. Maintain a very clean kitchen and outside garbage area at all times. (i.e.: wipe walls, glass doors, shelves, and entrance door, stack containers neatly, break down cardboard boxes). 6. Empty mop bucket after each use and sinks are to be cleaned at the end of the evening shift. 7. Take dirty laundry to housekeeping at the end of your shift and bring back the clean linen / rags on your way to work. 8. Assist in prep work. 9. Be professional in everything you say and do. 10. May be called upon to perform other duties comparable to the above, as the aforementioned describes only the primary duties of the job.
Job Specifications:

• Summer season position based in Blue River, BC
• Food Safe Certification and WHMIS required.
• Previous experience in a similar position preferred.
• Must be able to frequently bend and kneel, lift moderate weight, and work on feet for an extended period of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work a variety of day and weekend shifts.
• Attributes include energetic personality, punctuality, and good grooming standards.

Working Conditions:

• This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
• Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat and water.
• Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion, and up to 35 pounds regularly.
• Will be constantly exposed to high temperatures in the kitchen environment.
• Manual dexterity required to use knives and kitchen appliances.
