Overview

The Kitchen Helper plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment. This position involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Duties

Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Help cooks with cooking tasks as needed, ensuring that all food is prepared according to safety and quality standards. Organize and restock kitchen supplies to ensure efficiency during service hours. Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Support the kitchen team during peak hours by assisting with various tasks as required.

Skills

Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is preferred. Experience in food service or hospitality environments is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen. Good communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and understand instructions clearly. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks within the kitchen environment.
