Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our dynamic team in a busy restaurant environment. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced setting, possess excellent organizational skills, and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

Dishwashing and Sanitation:

Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchenware. Ensure that all items are washed and stored according to health and safety standards. Regularly empty and clean trash bins to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.

Kitchen Support:

Assist kitchen staff in basic food preparation tasks as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and mopping floors. Adhere to proper food handling and safety guidelines to prevent contamination.

Collaboration:

Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. Communicate effectively with team members to manage the flow of dirty and clean dishes.

Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:

Follow all sanitation and safety procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.

Time Management:

Prioritize and manage tasks effectively to keep up with the demands of a high-volume restaurant. Be adaptable to changing priorities and be able to work under pressure during peak hours.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred but not required. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects. Knowledge of proper food handling and safety standards. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude. Team player with excellent communication skills.

Schedule:

The shifts start at 5pm and can go as late as 2am.
