Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential in supporting our culinary staff and providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly. Organize and store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained according to health and safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Adhere to food safety guidelines for food handling and storage. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is a plus. Knowledge of food service practices and food handling regulations. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. A background in hospitality or hotel services is advantageous but not required.
