Northwood Retirement Resort is looking for a Dishwasher!

The Position:

We are looking for a Dishwasher to join our kitchen staff and maintain cleanliness around our kitchen. Dishwasher responsibilities include collecting dishes, plates and utensils, loading washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately. Note that this role requires working during weekdays and weekends. Ultimately, you'll help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our residentss.

Requirements:
Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing less than or greater than 50 pounds.

• Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing more than 50 pounds, both hands.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with many changes of pace.
• Personable with good communication skills.
• Must be able to follow instructions and learn new procedures.
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
• Restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
• Load and unload dishwashing machines with used dishes, plates and utensils
• Wash specific items (e.g. kitchen knives) by hand (e.g. by running water through them through a sponge)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
• Set up workstations before meal service begins and ensure they are properly stocked
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary
• Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Remove garbage regularly
• Clean & sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
