We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to a safe and hygienic food preparation environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, countertops, and equipment.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Properly store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas.
Dispose of waste and maintain recycling practices in accordance with health regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and support during busy periods.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred.
Familiarity with food handling and sanitation practices is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong cleaning skills with an emphasis on maintaining high standards of hygiene.
Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
Willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks as needed, including food preparation and cooking.
Start date is immediately. This is a seasonal job as the course closes in November. Successful applicants will be invited to return when we re open in April.
