Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for safely operating dishwashing equipment, related tasks and general cleaning duties, in accordance with Company and legislative/regulatory standards, policies and procedures.

Job Duties: Safely and effectively operate commercial dishwasher equipment, including scraping, stacking and putting away dishes, glass wear and cutlery. Perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment, fixtures and appliances. Remove garbage and breakdown cardboard boxes for recycling. Clean floors and walls, cabinets and food preparation areas to ensure a sanitary environment which passes all health and safety regulations and inspections. Assist with unpacking and storing of incoming groceries. Adhere to all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, and legislation regarding health and safety, food preparation standards, and Company policies and procedures. Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism by following the Company dress code and/or wearing the Company uniform. Attends staff meetings and mandatory training, as required. Other duties as assigned.
Performance Requirements Continuously follow the principles of "good customer service" and ensure that these values are demonstrated in day to day practices. Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with team members and external suppliers. Demonstrate solid organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions Regularly lift, and push/pull equipment, up to 50 pounds. Daily exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures. Bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for at least 3 hours per day. Walk and stand on a variety of surfaces for at least 3 hours per day. Use of kitchen cleaning chemicals typically used in the industry.
Must be able to provide a vulnerable sector check, 2 stage TB test etc.

Pay: $17.50 per hour
