Duties

Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste regularly. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations during busy service periods. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the kitchen manager promptly.

Skills

Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail in maintaining a sanitary work environment. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills are advantageous. Familiarity with food service operations and food handling guidelines. Experience in hospitality or hotel settings can be beneficial for understanding guest service expectations. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of duties during peak hours.
