We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our kitchen staff and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all items are properly stored after cleaning.
Assist kitchen staff with food preparation as needed, including peeling vegetables, preparing ingredients, and organizing supplies.
Keep kitchen floors clean by sweeping and mopping as necessary to maintain a safe working environment.
Dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Follow all food handling and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Skills
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not required.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
Willingness to help out in various kitchen tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
