Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and ready for use. This position also involves light food prep work.

Responsibilities

Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow. Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean work environment throughout the shift. Support other kitchen staff with additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food service operations and basic food handling practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
