Summary

Reporting directly to our Mitigation Manager, we are seeking a Disaster Mitigation Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Restoration Technicians, to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner and to the highest standards, in a quickly changing work environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and delegate tasks for a team of technicians Carry out all required emergency and restoration tasks as indicated on a work order Extract water from dwellings and complete structural dry outs Pack, list, clean, and dispose of contents and furniture, which often includes lifting and carrying heavy loads Undertake demolition of affected areas, per work order instructions Remove, transport, and dispose of large amounts of debris, which sometimes includes hazardous materials Maintain accurate documentation, both electronic and written

Requirements

Proven experience in disaster mitigation or related field Ability to motivate, train and lead a team of technicians Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (3 years prior) Basic computer skills, including email and attachments, and capable of adapting to new software Ability to work overtime as necessary, at times with short notice Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to 24-hour emergency calls when needed Some out-of-town work may be required (expenses paid by Company) Satisfactory Criminal Record Check

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

restoration industry: 2 years (preferred) supervisory: 1 year (preferred)
