Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to individual with disabilities in various settings, including home, community. Our daughter has Cerebral Palsy and has seizures and is non-verbal, but she does comprehend everything that is said to her, but she does say some words and has gestures to communicate. She loves to color, paint or play cards, she has always been very social and more than willing to try new things. The weekday shift consists of doing activities she likes and preparing her meals and snacks and giving her night meds.

The weekend shift you have to be able to drive her out to community activities like malls and restaurants ect. You will need to have a vehicle that fits a folding wheelchair which will be the only thing you lift. My daughter does walk when she holds onto your arm for balance and lifts her own body weight.

I need people that will work with her in our home, to be comfortable, but still keep professional boundaries, as this is still a job. Phone use only for emergencies, and always keeping in mind that showing up positive and ready for your shift will be so much better for her. She has always been a very positive and happy person with no behaviors, and you will have a great time getting to know her.

The shifts are

Monday to Friday - 4pm - 8pm

Saturday and Sunday - 11am - 5pm

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
