What to expect in the role
REDI Enterprises Society is presently seeking a fulltime Employment Support Worker. This role is responsible for supporting individuals in achieving their employment goals by assessing their needs, developing personalized service plans, and providing training and guidance for job preparation, search, and maintenance. In this role you will:
Seek input and feedback from individuals, to assess employability, eligibility for services, and to understand their needs and outcomes
Conduct assessments to identify individual skills, interests and needs
Develop, implement and monitor person centered service plans related to individual's employment goals and to address barriers to employment and job maintenance
Provide training and support in developing skills for employment preparation, work search activities, and successful job maintenance, as per individuals' unique needs and learning styles
Create, develop, and facilitate career management and career decision-making workshops
What you bring
You are a results-driven professional focused on empowering individuals facing career barriers. You would bring a strong foundation in client assessment and the ability to support personalized, person-centered service plans that directly address unique employment challenges. You excel as an advisor, providing guidance through workshops and job coaching while working to employer clients to improve their employment outcomes.
Job Requirements:
2 years of related academic qualifications and/or demonstrated experience delivering career and employment services and assessments
Knowledge and understanding of the client group and their unique needs specific to obtaining and maintaining employment
2 years demonstrated experience assisting clients in labour market attachment and employment retention
2 years' experience with the Minister's Client Tracking System an asset
First Aid - Level C / CPR certificate
Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's license
Computer literacy that meets the requirements of the specific role and agency/service
Criminal record and Vulnerable Sector Check that are acceptable to the Executive Director
Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats
Suitable combination of education and experience may be considered
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.50 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
