Our approach is based on the belief that work engagement leads to more sustainable recoveries. Main Responsibilities

  • Assess various types of non-occupational claims for benefits eligibility
  • Evaluate medical documentation, review contractual provisions, pursue additional information, when required
  • Decision-making within service standards
  • Document all claims file notes and follow up information
  • Ensure that all claim files and company information are kept confidential
  • Establish and clearly articulate action plans /interventions for appropriate /timely outcomes throughout the life of a claim
  • Partner with internal or external resources to move the file forward to resolution

Qualifications
  • High proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong ability to understand and apply policies and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently
  • Solid analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality standards
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a client relationship role
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • A general understanding health related terminology and health care /insurance fields
  • A general understanding of accommodation concepts /return to work strategies
  • Background in Health Science studies or a college diploma in a related field (an asset but not required)
  • Knowledge of French (an asset but not required)
