Job Title: Disability Administrator
Location Address: 100% remote. Open to candidates in Canada. Preference for candidates in Quebec, Toronto, and British Columbia. Must be able to work EST hours.
End date: 01/30/2026
Possibility of extension Hiring & conversion to FTE: Possibility of being extended
Schedule Hours: Tuesday and Thursdays would be 12-8pm EST and Monday - Wednesday - Friday 11-7pm EST, 37.5 hrs per week

Job Summary:
This role provides administrative support to the National Group Disability organization with teams supporting our plan members across Canada through illness, recovery and return to work. You will work closely with both our internal and external customers, including Case Managers, Operations Specialists, Associate Managers, Plan Sponsors and Plan Members. The primary responsibility of this role is to use knowledge of practices and procedures to critically review information being externally communicated to uphold our privacy and confidentiality standards. This role will also involve documenting and making recommendations for the quality and correction of communications.
Key Accountabilities & Job Duties:
  • Reviewing and assessing risk for external communications to ensure we are in compliance with privacy protocols with adherence to client specific communication guidelines requiring attention to detail to prevent privacy breaches.
  • Thoroughness and follow up to reconcile inconsistent or inaccurate information using excellent communication to provide feedback to case managers and leaders when guidelines and expectations are not met for privacy and confidentiality and email content.
  • Analyzing communications to document and track trends for continuous improvement.
  • Handling group email inbox expeditiously to meet turnaround times while maintaining quality.
  • Assist with other case management related administrative tasks - email communications, tool referrals, processing invoices etc.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 0-2 years experience
2) Bilingualism (English/French)
3) Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, OneNote, OneDrive, Power Point), and Adobe
4) Ability to probe, investigate, apply critical judgement, problem solve and take ownership of discrepancies/issues and see through to resolution
Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • Disability management and/or Group benefit knowledge will be an asset
  • Background in a health-related field and/or administrative office setting, will be an asset
Education:
  • Post-secondary education (college or university level) is required
Best vs. Average: It's a very administrative role and very repetitive of nature. We need someone attention detailed and efficient that would like to do a work with low social interaction in the day.
