ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY


We're looking for a Director, Technology Operations to lead the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable tech operations at rennie. This is a senior operational leadership role with broad responsibility - overseeing infrastructure, business applications (including Salesforce), IT support, cybersecurity, internal data systems, and the digital products (web, SaaS, etc.) that power our day-to-day business.

You'll lead a multidisciplinary team and work closely with internal stakeholders and trusted vendors to ensure our platforms perform, our operations scale, and our systems stay one step ahead. This role is about making things work - and making them better - through clear execution, thoughtful resourcing, and strong follow-through.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead a multidisciplinary team across IT support, systems analysts and administrators, and BI analysts - building clarity, performance, and growth through strong day-to-day leadership and aligned team planning Manage vendor relationships across application development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, ensuring performance, cost control, and contractual compliance Own business application roadmaps (Salesforce and non-Salesforce), balancing support, enhancements, and new initiatives Ensure system reliability across rennie's internal platforms and maintain the integrity of our data architecture Oversee end-to-end project delivery, including backlog ownership, sprint planning, and release cycles across SaaS platforms and custom-built tools Drive operational IT delivery, including endpoint lifecycle, ticket queue management, provisioning, and incident response Maintain governance and compliance, including access controls, security protocols, and technology policies


WHAT YOU BRING

8+ years of progressive experience across IT operations, software delivery, and enterprise systems, with a record of execution in fast-paced, complex environments Experience leading product sustainment and development for both SaaS and custom platforms, including backlog management, agile delivery, and release coordination 3+ years of people leadership with direct accountability for team development and delivery outcomes Strong background in vendor oversight, including contract negotiation and performance management Demonstrated success leading cross-functional technology projects with clear timelines, budgets, and business impact A high-performance mindset - you move quickly, operate with discipline, and adapt in real-time to changing priorities An ability to zoom in and out - combining hands-on problem-solving with big-picture operational planning Ongoing learning and technical fluency - you stay current with evolving tools and apply them to improve scale, efficiency, and reliability


WORKING CONDITIONS

Our home office is located just outside of Granville Island in Kitsilano, and this role is primarily office-based with some flexibility to work remotely Occasional travel as required


SALARY INFORMATION
The typical base salary for this specific position is from $135,000 to $175,000. The salary offered is based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors including education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and organizational needs. We also have a performance-based bonus program that supports our employees by recognizing exceptional individual performance and company success.
