We are currently recruiting a Director, Global Technology Finance who will be responsible for leading McCain\'s Global Technology budgeting and forecasting processes and providing critical support and analysis to McCain\'s Technology Senior Leadership Team, as well as the Chief Financial Officer. This role also is responsible for overseeing and producing the end-to-end quarterly and year-end financial information for internal and external purposes. This role will be involved in researching and providing input into complex and non-routine transaction.

The ideal candidate has experience working with IT transformation and partnering with the CIO in IT Product Funding model, cost transformation, cost transparency and truly driving costs by capability and services.

S/he is passionate about developing their team, building relationship with regional finance team and enjoys solving accounting problems. This is an exciting and highly visible role in a high performing team with significant exposure to many areas of the business. The position reports to the Chief Technology and Information Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Global Technology Finance team in the execution of McCain\'s global budgeting and forecasting processes and monthly/quarterly processes.
  • Provide support and analysis to the CTIO and Chief Financial Officer as it relates to forecasts, budgets or ad hoc requests, as well as other senior leaders in Global Technology
  • Drive the preparation of high quality/accurate deliverables and analysis, including but not limited to, month-end reporting, KPI tracking, ad-hoc reports/analysis, quarterly forecast reporting, annual budget
  • Plan, prepare and finalize presentations (especially the quarterly and yearly budget review)
  • Identify and communicate key opportunities, risks or challenges and potential impacts on the organization.
  • Own critical processes in the reporting/budgeting/forecasting space, including but not limited to:
  • Regional QBR/BUDGET template/presentation process
  • BUDGET process, from target setting through to presentation to the CTIO/CFO
  • Regional target setting processes
  • Support medium and long-term incentive plan forecasting
  • Monthly reporting and analysis processes, including driving monthly review meetings with regional teams (and updating/modifying their required deliverables as needed) and coordinating/reviewing the monthly Finance Update for the CTIO
  • Act as a key point of contact and develop strong partnerships with region/country Finance teams
  • Drive process/experiential improvements in Finance, with a focus on automation via systems (OneStream) or streamlining (leveraging systems or improved ways of working)
  • Improve cash forecasting processes
  • Take a leadership/ownership role in key financial systems, primarily IT cost management system implementation.
  • Oversee the end-to-end quarterly and year-end financial information for internal and external purposes (consolidated financial statements, management discussion and analysis, board presentations, etc.)
  • Work cross-functionally to collect all inputs needed for internal and external reporting, create a project plan and ensure deadlines are adhered to
  • Provide advice and guidance on all technical accounting matters, including research and implementation of new IFRS standards
  • Working with internal stakeholders to determine the accounting considerations of business decisions
  • Lead the design, implementation, and execution of special projects which may include, but not limited to, process redesign, system implementation, and other projects as assigned
  • Support with statutory filings from the global business units
  • Manage numerous ad-hoc requests from stakeholders
  • Understanding Cloud, APIs, AI-ML and how to drive cost transformation to invest in digital enablers

Education and/or experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive financial analysis or accounting experience
  • Experience managing a team of 4-5 high performing finance professionals
  • Strong accounting background an asset
  • Consumer products or foods experience a definite plus
  • Strong understanding of general financial analysis concepts such as margin analysis, ROI, DCF, capital evaluation
  • Strong understanding of currency translation/consolidation concepts
  • Strong understanding of IFRS
  • Strong technical, analytical and systems skills; (Excel, Power Point, Anaplan, OneStream, SAP)
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships, manage conflict and embrace change;
  • Ability to apply broad business perspectives and experiences to identify opportunities/risks.
