Director, Technology & Digital Transformation





The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.



Starting Salary Range: $141,029- $176,286



The Director of Technology & Digital Transformation is a strategic and service-oriented leader responsible for overseeing Doctors of BC's IT operations, business applications and data management. This role ensures effective delivery of technology service, support, and innovation that enable employees to deliver service excellence while supporting Doctors of BC's strategic plan.



This role will have a strong focus on service excellence and organizational enablement. The Director leads a team of technology professional, fosters a culture of collaboration and accountability and ensures the organization's technology and digital infrastructure secure and responsive to Doctors of BC's evolving needs.


Role Responsibilities:




Leadership:




Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technology team Foster an inclusive an engaging environment that emphasized trust, growth and collaboration Model service leadership, aligning people and practices with organizational values Develop and implement the organization's technology strategy in alignment with the organization's goals Build strong relationships across the organization to understand technology needs and deliver effective solutions Provide strong leadership to the IT team, promoting proactive solutions and service driven culture

IT Operations & Service Delivery:




Ensure the organization's technology infrastructure is reliable and secure Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of business applications to improve operational efficiency and workflow. Ensure effective and responsive technical support is available to members and employees

Data Management & Governance:




Ensure Doctors of BC's data is managed responsibly, securely and in compliance with PIPPA. Support and promote the use of data analytics for business insights and decision support across the organization.

Business Applications:




Champion enterprise-level integration, workflow automation, and data governance initiatives to enhance system performance, user experience, and decision-making across departments. Guide long-term product and platform strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's cloud-first and digital transformation priorities through strong governance, vendor management, and resource planning.

Monitors program and team success measures. Ensures individuals are aware of all expectations and held accountable in a timely manner for their actions. Communicates a collective purpose, creates a clear line of sight to the organization's values, and ensures team's alignment with the organization's goals and strategies.

WHAT YOU BRING




Bachelor's degree in computer science and 10+ years' experience in a senior leadership role within a progressive IT function. Project management experience, and a strong understanding of quality improvement methodologies, collective impact frameworks and collaborative change models required Experience leading complex and adaptive change, with diplomatic negotiation and problem solving skills. Exceptional planning, organizational, presentation, communication and facilitation skills. Excellent judgment in setting priorities, identifying issues and determining action required when working under pressure and deadlines. Excellent analytical, problem solving and written skills, with proven ability to develop clear, concise and comprehensive written reports. Thorough knowledge of information systems issues, including: internal control concepts, management and government information requirements. Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to plan, organize and manage the operations of an information systems department. Ability to assess technical trends and concerns and develop effective solutions. Ability to lead and motivate staff
