The Director, Specialized Services is a key leadership role in the Health Services Delivery Area and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. As a member of the HSDA Leadership Team, this position is responsible and accountable for ensuring seamless and coordinated services that utilize team based health care where Northern Health professionals work collaboratively with individuals, families and communities to accomplish shared goals. This position is responsible for leading specific and delegated responsibilities in planning, delivery and evaluation of programs and services with the goal of achieving Northern Health's mission, vision and strategic plan.
The Director supports population health approaches, including prevention and protection in the delivery of services. The incumbent directs specialized services focused on complex conditions and tertiary services. The Director maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders and leaders, both internally and externally, to provide coordinated, collaborative leadership to all programs and services.
Starting salary will be approximately from $128,298 to $160,372 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
Dawson Creek & District Hospital
Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full service community hospital that provides service to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 Acute Care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Dawson Creek is the Orthopaedic Trauma and Surgical centre for the Northeast Region of BC. Services include:

Dawson Creek
Wide blue skies and the rolling foothills of the Northern Rockies surround Dawson Creek. The city is also known as the Mile Zero City, as it marks the start of the Alaska Highway, a 2,400 km long highway connecting Alaska and the Yukon to Western Canada and the United States. Dawson Creek has a population of approximately 12,500. It provides primary service to a population of approximately 20,000 and helps serve the larger population of the Peace River Region of 60,000. Qualifications
Master's degree in Health Services Administration, Social Sciences or other health related discipline;
Ten (10) years' experience in progressively senior health care management roles;
Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
