What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be part of Real Estate Secured Lending team (Personal Lending and Insurance), reporting to the Sr. Director, RESL Policies and Programs. Working in a fast paced and dynamic environment, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for leading and defining our Real Estate Secured Lending client account management strategy to meet our client\xe2\x80\x99s needs in an ever evolving business, regulatory and risk environment. In addition, you will proactively lead risk mitigation activities relating to our ongoing business.

How You\xe2\x80\x99ll Succeed

Client Portfolio Management Strategy \xe2\x80\x93 Identify and define the client segments and associated treatments for clients in hardship, responses to regulatory changes (i.e. OSFI, FCAC) and where a proactive client outreach would lead to a positive outcome for both the client and CIBC.

Special Projects \xe2\x80\x93 Act as the RESL product owner on the implementation of complex and high profile special projects impacting client account management approaches.

Issue Resolution \xe2\x80\x93 Lead the timely resolution of complex issues. Conduct root cause analysis of issues as they arise and recommend new/amended controls to prevent recurrence. Design and implement action plans to address issues and prevent future occurrence.

Client Focus \xe2\x80\x93 Identify and implement creative solutions to ensure that changes to ensure regulatory compliance and resolve issues strike the right balance between governance/controls, client experience and profitability.

Relationship Management \xe2\x80\x93 Collaborate with a diverse group of partners within CIBC (e.g. Client Account Management, Risk Management, Credit Adjudication, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Business Controls) and outside of CIBC (e.g. Mortgage Insurers, Vendors) to implement initiatives and resolve issues in an efficient manner with high quality results
