This Real Estate and Financial SME is responsible for managing and executing the end-to-end financial processes within Corporate Real Estate (CRE) in ensuring robust connectivity and consolidation of supplier spend, supplier performance, savings and ultimately the resulting occupancy and departmental spend environment. This role is critical in driving the global alignment and consistency of CRE's spend across multiple service liens and regions and ensuring process and spend control aligned to CRE and RBC's enterprise expectations and policies.
What will you do?
Responsible for supporting and execution of all activities related to CRE's departmental NIE and resource management including plan, forecast, 5-year outlook, projects, resourcing, functional allocations as well as associated departmental processes in collaboration with the CFO group as well as CRE's senior and executive management
Responsible for the financial management and maintenance of the supplier partner(s) spend in alignment with the contract considering the partner resourcing model, performance management framework and savings commitments and its financial implications against baseline contractual commitments across all service lines and regions
Responsible for establishing financial models in support of real estate and supplier pricing for decision making purposes as well as supporting business case scenario analysis.
Oversight responsibilities in alignment with RBC's Financial Control team within CFO relating to lease accounting (IFRS 16 / ASC 842) as well as other accounting process implantation within the real estate scope including Asset Retirement Oblivion (ARO), accruals, provisions, etc.
Accountable for the end to end spend processes surrounding occupancy spend, payments and cash control and occupancy allocations totaling over $1 Billion CAD annually
Oversight responsibilities of global real estate occupancy budgets (totaling over $1.8B)
Responsible for supporting RBC's taxation and transfer pricing groups to ensure appropriate processes in the enablement of CRE's global mandate
Accountable to "connect the dots" and be the single point of contact for CRE departmental and occupancy spend interconnections from point of spend to business charge.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Real Estate knowledge/experience
5+ years in Financial Management, Dynamic Modeling (including contract pricing, spend consolidations, scenario analysis, large data consolidation / analytics, etc.)
Advanced Knowledge and application of accounting and finance
End to End Process Management
Professional Financial / Management Designation
