Lead, direct, administer, and coordinate the sales and marketing functions and policies of Cambridge Brass (CB) including related functions in the structure, planning, market research, advertising, promotion, quoting, as well as the management, training and development of the group (including sales agents).
Implement strategic plans for the sales and marketing activities to maximize sales potential, maintain existing customers while developing new customer accounts, and assume accountability for contributions to associated profitability targets.
Drive market share retention and new business growth in the Canadian market
Collaborate with AY McDonald manufacturing counterparts, to support US market growth initiatives.
Explore and develop business opportunities in new markets
Contribute to the development of 5 \xe2\x80\x93 10 year business plans for the company including short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Be a member of the A.Y. McDonald Industries Strategic Leadership Team
Establish guidelines and goals for sales activities including participation in seminars and trade shows.
Meet with customers, suppliers, and clients to establish and or enhance long-term relationships. Develop a clear understanding of customer needs and enhance the value creation proposition
Assess and improve forecasting of demand for both new and existing products throughout their life cycle, identifying gaps between forecasts and business plans
Provide internal and external sales communication and public relations
Direct the efforts of the customer service, sales, and marketing staff and motivate the group to achieve an engaged high performance team
Coordinate at the strategic and tactical level with other functions of the business
Establish and maintain strong relationships with other departmental groups in effort to facilitate a work environment of mutual support of the overall team responding quickly and effectively to opportunities and/or resolution to issues
Enable collaboration with product management and engineering on product release schedules and implementation, to drive customer focused innovation.
Assess skills, knowledge and abilities of current or potential employees to make effective hiring and merit decisions
Execute plans and activities within budget and timelines while reflecting company values
Provide information for financial reports including forecasts, budgets, pricing, expense control etc.
Provide monthly reporting to maximize company-wide communication
Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Compensation will include a base salary and incentive, over $130K
