Prestige Hospitality Corp is seeking a Director of Sales - Dual Property to lead the Sales Team of Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Airport North and Homewood Suites by Hilton Calgary Airport, perfectly situated close to Calgary International Airport.

Job Summary



The Director of Sales has direct oversight of sales and marketing operations. This role has the responsibility to achieve optimal occupancy and ADR growth to maximize total revenue while meeting/exceeding hotel profit objectives. This individual will oversee operations of the hotel sales department including but not limited to direct sales follow-up sales administration hiring of staff training managing and coaching. Additional responsibilities include sales and marketing budget forecast advertising marketing and business plans for both hotels.

QUALIFICATIONS:



Bachelor's degree or previous experience in the hotel hospitality field required.

A minimum of 5 years experience in sales and marketing, this will include a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership position.

Experience working with Brand Standard compliance audits

Experience in effectively leading and motivating junior and senior sales executives.

Proven experience in increasing Average Daily Rate (ADR) through strategic pricing, revenue management, and market analysis

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Thorough understanding of the sales process.

Ability to research, develop, and maintain clients and relationships.

Ability to plan, organize, and execute effectively.

Ability to prepare and analyze necessary reports and communicate findings.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to be on call when away from work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



Manages the overall sales and Business Development efforts of the hotel, developing, implementing, and evaluating short and long-range sales and business development plans.

Assist in the development of the Hotel's annual Sales & Marketing Plan and Expense Budget

Reviews the Strategic Alignment Review (STAR) report, competitive shopping reports and uses other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotel's market position.

Research competitors' sales team strategies to identify ways to grow occupancy and RevPAR and increase market share.

Work with fellow leadership team to ensure profits are maximized in line with GOP and EBITDA targets

Provide day-to-day leadership to sales associates to achieve property sales objectives with overall responsibility for achieving booking goals and property revenues.

Evaluate the property's participation in the various sales channels (e.g., Area Sales, Group Sales within the Sales Office, electronic lead channels, etc.) and develop strong working relationships to proactively position and market the property.

Manages the marketing budget to enable the development of property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral to drive revenue and meet property objectives.

Develop sales goals and strategies and verify alignment with the brand business strategy.

Participates in sales calls with members of the Sales and Marketing team to acquire new business and/or close on business.

Identifies public relations opportunities and coordinates activities to augment the overall marketing communication strategy.

Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contracts, customer correspondence).

Maintains successful performance by increasing revenues, controlling expenses and providing a return on investment for the owner and Hilton.

Develop strong community and public relations by maintaining property participation in local, regional, and national tradeshows and client events.

Executes the sales strategy to meet individual booking goals for both self and staff.

Coaches' leaders of revenue-generating departments in developing effective revenue strategies and setting aggressive goals that will drive the property's financial performance.

Set goals and expectations for direct reports and make sure they achieve the same.

Previous Sales Head/DOSM experience, preferably with Hilton or Marriott.

Other duties as assigned by the Ownership Group.
