We are currently seeking a

Director of Sales on an 6 month contract (end date February 28, 2026)

to assist our team at The Journey Club in the prestigious, active, and vibrant community of Westman Village in Calgary, AB.

A day in the life of a Director of Sales at The Journey Club:



Oversee the customer relations for prospective customers for sales and leasing for the Journey Club's Luxury Retirement Community. Responsible for building enduring relationships and trust with prospective and existing residents as well as their families and other stakeholders by being the foremost expert on retirement living options and focusing on education and excellence in customer service. Responsible for maximizing the long-term real estate value of the Journey Club's Retirement Community by meeting occupancy targets, achieving reduced vacancy losses, matching residents to appropriate suites, working closely with Executive Directors and their site teams to ensure seamless turnover and releasing of suites. Cultivate, track and secure leads/prospects. Community Relationship development (events, trade shows, etc).

What you bring to the table:



Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to manage multiple projects on tight time frames. Great listening skills and creative problem-solving ability. Proactive follow-up with prospective customers. Must be resourceful, self motivated, customer focused and able to work in a team. Strong organizational skills. Ability to talk with different audiences, appropriately adjust technical content to meet different audience knowledge and interest and can juggle meetings with multiple audient levels. Proven closing/negotiating skills. Principles and values that match the corporate principles and values. A high level of enthusiasm as well as a high energy level. Professional attire and personal grooming. A good memory for names, faces and business details. Perseverance and stability. An outgoing personality. 5 years or more of sales experience in new home sales, MLS real estate and or leasing is preferred Experience in seniors living would be a major asset. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and Internet Explorer.
