Location
Hybrid-Remote for a successful candidate that lives within a reasonable driving distance of the resort and Banff National Park.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, with a dotted line to the Regional Director of Public Relations, this role will align PR strategies with sales & marketing to maximize profitability and achieve or exceed the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s revenue generation goals
  • Working closely with the General Manager, responsible for the planning and execution of PR tactics outlined in the critical path plan for the resort\xe2\x80\x99s new state-of-the art thermal wellness facility (opening in 2025)
  • Working with DOSM/GM preparing monthly updates on TWF critical path and strategies
  • Coordinate individual and travel media familiarization trips
  • Host key travel media on property; evenings and weekends as required
  • Oversee influencer collaborations, including vetting, setting KPIs, and follow-up in accordance with Accor policies and resort needs
  • Support content creator collaborations alongside the resort\xe2\x80\x99s content marketing manager
  • Coordinate photo and film shoots on-site with traditional media as necessary
  • Act as spokesperson for the resort and as a member of the crisis management team
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests, including drafting of key messaging and ensuring spokesperson readiness (e.g. GM)
  • Provide PR amplification for all on-property special event activations, including execution of relevant media launches
  • Extend brand reach with non-traditional marketing and media partnerships
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within the Canadian, US and international travel media networks
  • Maintain memberships to targeted travel media organizations, and attend marketplaces as required
  • Actively work with marketing team to curate compelling content that drives hotel exposure
  • Develop and distribute press releases, guest communiqu\xc3\xa9s, and Heartist communications as needed
  • Submit relevant resort content to corporate PR\xe2\x80\x99s call for submissions
  • Work closely with regional PR counterparts and regional digital marketing/sales teams to share best practices, promote Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Western Mountain Collection, and ensure the resort is leveraged at every opportunity
  • Collaborate with regional PR team to maintain an updated centralized media database
  • Update and maintain resort press kit, press room, and story starters. Keep corporate PR and agencies informed of all news
  • Update regional media calendar on a weekly basis
  • Submit monthly, mid-year, and annual PR reports to hotel executive team and corporate office
  • Pursue key influential awards and execute nominations accordingly
  • In coordination with the DOSM, undertake other tasks and duties that may be required from time to time
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years\xe2\x80\x99 public relations and communications experience in the luxury hotel sector preferred
  • Established database of Canadian, USA and international travel media contacts, as well as luxury lifestyle, wellness and spa influencers preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience utilizing Cision or other media monitoring and distribution platforms an asset
  • Experience with influencer analysis tools an asset (i.e. Hype Auditor)
  • Crisis communications and online reputation management experience required
  • Ability to prioritize numerous projects with competing deadlines
  • University / College degree in a related discipline an asset
  • Articulate, professional, self-motivated, energetic team-player
