Director of Performance & Marketing
to transform high-level growth goals into structured marketing strategies, monthly campaign calendars, and flawless execution. This role owns both the
performance metrics (CAC, LTV, ROAS, retention)
and the
process discipline
that ensures our marketing team operates at a best-in-class level.
This is a
high-impact, results-driven leadership role
: part strategist, part operator, and part performance marketer.
About You
7-10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership at the Director/Head of Marketing level.
Proven track record scaling e-commerce/DTC brands with measurable revenue and ROI growth.
Strong operator: you've owned monthly calendars, campaign briefs, and reporting rhythms that tie directly to company objectives.
Deep hands-on knowledge of performance KPIs (CAC, LTV, ROAS, retention) and how to design campaigns that move the needle.
Experienced with Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and paid media platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok).
Strong project management and organizational skills; you know how to keep a team executing on multiple campaigns without sacrificing quality.
Collaborative leader and mentor who gives the team clarity, process, and focus.
Data-driven and proactive: you use insights to refine strategies, spot opportunities, and level up performance.
Comfortable communicating at the executive level, presenting results and strategic recommendations to leadership and boards.
Responsibilities
:
Strategy & Planning
Translate annual company objectives and CFO-led planning into actionable quarterly and monthly marketing strategies.
Own the
monthly marketing calendar
-- aligning campaigns with business priorities, product launches, and financial targets.
Draft and refine
detailed campaign briefs
with clear goals, audiences, messaging, deliverables, and KPIs.
Lead campaign planning meetings and weekly standups to ensure alignment across design, email, paid, and coordination functions.
Execution & Performance
Oversee execution across email, paid media, social, and on-site marketing, ensuring campaigns are on-time, on-brand, and measurable.
Champion
CRO and testing
-- directing A/B tests across channels, analyzing results, and applying learnings.
Support email strategy (automation, segmentation, personalization) and oversee paid media alignment with performance goals.
Continuously optimize the
customer journey
from discovery to retention and loyalty.
Leadership & Team
Recruit, mentor, and coach a high-performing marketing team -- setting clear KPIs and accountability standards.
Run campaign retrospectives, ensuring wins are repeated, misses are improved, and processes evolve every cycle.
Partner with leadership to standardize reporting rhythms, connect marketing outputs to revenue goals, and allocate resources effectively.
Analytics & Reporting
Monitor and report on marketing performance against KPIs (CAC, LTV, ROAS, retention, repeat purchase).
Deliver insights and data-driven recommendations to executives to inform product, budget, and growth strategy decisions.
Manage marketing budgets, allocating spend to maximize ROI and adjusting based on performance.
