academic services and leadership for cancer control and the treatment of blood disorders. We invite applications for the position of:

Director of Patient Services

Outpatient Clinic Services Program (OCSP)

Permanent, Full-time (1.0 EFT)

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Clinical Operating Officer, the Director of Patient Services, OCSP is passionate, has a can-do attitude, and is willing to challenge themselves in an evolving and fast-paced cancer organization that serves all Manitobans. The Director of Patient Services, OCSP is responsible for overseeing the operations of outpatient clinics services and enhancing patient experience in CCMB. The Director will closely collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational goals. In addition to overseeing patient services, the Director is responsible for managing personnel, processes, and finances within the program and leading the professional nursing practice across the organization. This includes providing guidance and direction to all departmental staff, both professional/technical and support, setting priorities and schedules, implementing and monitoring quality standards, and conducting performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or a relevant health profession discipline from an accredited post-secondary education institution
  • Master\'s Degree in health, business, science, or other relevant fields
  • Active licensure, in good standing, with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g. CRNM)
  • Membership in an appropriate professional association (e.g. ARNM)
  • At least five (5) years of experience in health care or business management
  • At least three (3) years of leadership experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in program development, implementation, and change management strategies
  • Experience in strategic and operational planning
  • Experience in financial and human resource management
  • Experience in stakeholder and vendor relations
  • Proven track record of producing results within time and budget constraints.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work within a complex multidisciplinary care environment
  • Must hold a satisfactory employment record
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a unionized setting
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in First Nations, Metis, and Inuit language and/or knowledge of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit customs, traditions, and values
Asset:
  • Knowledge of oncology and hematology
  • Experience working on capital projects
  • Experience in policy development, implementation, and maintenance
  • Ability to speak French
Salary: Non-Union - Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
