We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Director of Operations

to lead and oversee the operational aspects of our growing business, with a particular emphasis on our residential property management division. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To:



Provide strategic leadership and direction to the operations of Langier Real Estate Developments and MyVic Property Management. Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing property management team (currently ~20 team members), fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Oversee a substantial and diverse residential/multi-family property portfolio, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and operational efficiency. Develop and implement strategies to optimize leasing processes, tenant relations, maintenance operations, and financial performance across all managed properties. Act as the lead point of contact for property owners, building and maintaining strong relationships and providing regular updates on property performance. Liaise effectively with external stakeholders, including real estate brokers, vendors, and other industry partners. Oversee the creation, completion, and review of lease agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. Collaborate closely with the Finance team to develop and manage annual budgets, monitor financial performance, provide accurate forecasting, and ensure efficient rent collection and cash flow management. Develop, implement, and continuously update operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and ensure consistent service delivery. Prepare and present comprehensive weekly and monthly reports to the Senior Executive team, providing insights into operational performance and strategic initiatives. Act as the primary point of escalation for complex operational issues, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to finding effective solutions. Assist Langier Developments in broader real estate business activities related to property renovations, new construction projects, and commercial real estate ventures.

Your Strengths Include:



A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in residential property management, with a proven track record of leadership and operational success. A valid Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) license to trade in real estate as a Property Manager. Possession of a Broker License is considered a significant asset, and a commitment to obtaining this license if not currently held is a requirement. RPA (Real Property Administrator) or CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation is a strong asset. Exceptional leadership, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills. Strong financial acumen, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting within a property management context. Deep understanding of Alberta's residential tenancy legislation and best practices in property management. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. A customer-centric approach with a commitment to providing outstanding service to both tenants and property owners. Proficiency in property management software (experience with Yardi is a significant advantage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A valid Class 5 driver's license and access to reliable transportation, as travel between property sites may be required. Must be a Resident of Canada or possess the appropriate documentation to legally work in Canada.

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
