The Director of Maintenance is responsible for the technical process of managing all assets within the AAC fleet including management of vendors and off-site inspection teams, induction work scopes, technical consulting on contractual negotiations, complying with all lease delivery and return provisions and forecasting the cost thereof and other similar responsibilities as assigned.

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of aircraft maintenance to ensure airworthiness, operational readiness, and compliance with regulations, while managing costs and resources effectively. This role requires effective management of resources, budgets, and vendor relationships to maintain fleet integrity and support business goals.

Responsibilities:



Participate in the planning and preparation of company budgets and strategic plans surrounding aircraft and engines; Provide continual oversight to ensure that all terms and conditions are met in the execution of contracts; Analyze and recommend operational and commercial terms for aircraft and engine leases and purchases; Develop and maintain maintenance forecast for Aircraft heavy checks, landing gear and engines maintenance on all Aircraft; Provide Company executives with reliable technical recommendations; Travel to review project progress as needed; Liaise and coordinate projects with Client Technical Teams; Negotiate GSA & Contracts with MROs, Suppliers, Vendors and other partie Review all engine overhaul tear down reports and recommend cost saving initiatives; Monitoring and coordination of all maintenance activities for each aircraft on continuing bases; Apply in-depth technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues; Stay current on emerging maintenance technologies, techniques, and regulatory updates; Proactively identify and mitigate potential maintenance risks and operational challenges. Lead investigations into technical issues, coordinate root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Ensure timely resolution of maintenance-related issues to minimize aircraft downtime. Manage the technical aspects of aircraft transitions, including on-lease and off-lease inspections. Ensure compliance with lease agreement requirements regarding maintenance and airworthiness standards. Collaborate with leasing clients, MRO facilities, and regulatory bodies on technical matters. Actively promote safety and quality within the organization and department Other duties as assigned.

Job type / Salary:



Full time, $110,000 to $150,000 per year with bonus opportunities.

Qualifications:



Post-secondary Business Management or equivalent education; Minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance management; Experience in aircraft leasing an asset; Proven leadership experience in managing large maintenance teams and complex projects; Sound knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Strong budget management and contract negotiation skills; Self-starter with demonstrated research, conflict resolution, communication and analytic skills; Strong project management skills with ability to lead and follow through with project objective Strong planning, organizational and time management skills; Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure; Thrives in a fast-moving environment, with high tolerance for change; Motivated and enthusiastic team player who can work in an autonomous and/or team setting.

Pay: $110,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
