Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Insurance Services to lead a growing commercial insurance advisory team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels in both technical insurance operations and team development.
You will oversee a team of five, expanding to seven by year-end, and be responsible for workflow design, documentation standards, and fostering cross-functional collaboration with underwriting, risk, and claims teams.
What You'll Do
- Manage and mentor a team of insurance advisors and support staff.
- Lead workflow improvements, enforce service standards, and ensure quality client delivery.
- Support complex commercial insurance placements, including property and liability.
- Liaise across underwriting, business development, and risk teams.
- Monitor client needs and market trends to inform service strategy.
- 5-6+ years in commercial insurance brokerage (reciprocal experience a strong asset).
- Solid knowledge of commercial property and liability wordings.
- Proven experience managing people and leading change.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- CIP or CAIB preferred.

- 36.25-hour work week with no on-call expectations.
