Position Summary:
The Director of Information Systems will lead a comprehensive review, modernization, and integration of the MNjcc's digital infrastructure and technology ecosystem. This strategic leadership role is responsible for auditing existing systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing innovative, efficient, and customer-focused solutions that align with the organization's mission and operational goals.
The successful candidate will oversee all core information systems, including databases, CRM, scheduling, registration, membership management, and internal communication platforms--and ensure they operate cohesively and effectively. They will also manage a small technical team (two direct reports), establish clear processes, and champion a culture of digital excellence and user empowerment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Systems Strategy and Innovation
Conduct a full audit and analysis of all existing MNjcc systems, tools, and data flows.
Identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for integration or system retirement.
Develop and implement a comprehensive Information Systems Strategy aligned with MNjcc's organizational and customer service goals.
Lead the modernization and streamlining of databases, CRM, and related platforms to create a unified and customer-focused digital experience.
Drive the sunset of outdated or overlapping systems while ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to operations.
Implementation and Operations
Lead system implementation projects from planning through to post-launch optimization.
Oversee vendor relationships and technology contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value delivery.
Establish standardized policies, procedures, and documentation for system use and management.
Collaborate cross-departmentally to align technology solutions with business needs and program delivery.
Leadership and Team Management
Supervise, mentor, and support two direct reports, managing day-to-day priorities and performance.
Build efficient workflows, reporting structures, and communication processes within the Information Systems team.
Foster collaboration and continuous learning within the department.
Training and User Support
Develop and deliver user manuals, training materials, and workshops for staff across all departments.
Ensure staff are properly trained and confident in using new systems and tools.
Serve as a key internal resource for troubleshooting and system organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree an asset).
7+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership, systems management, or digital transformation, ideally within a nonprofit, community organization, or membership-based environment.
Proven success in leading system audits, integration, and implementation projects.
Strong understanding of CRM systems, databases, and digital user experience design.
Demonstrated experience managing staff and leading organizational change.
Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible information for non-technical audiences.

Annual salary range: $80,000- $90,000 commensurate with experience.
