Job Description

Our client a large international integrated services company based in central GTA has an exciting opening for a Director of Indirect Tax to join their Finance Team.Reporting to the Head of Tax, the Director of Indirect Tax is responsible for the organization\'s indirect tax functions with primary focus on managing the Planning and Projects, Compliance and Day-to-Day application of indirect taxes.Responsibilities
- Responsible for all indirect tax related compliance across the company
- Work with the Business Partners to ensure timely and accurate review and filing of all returns
- Lead commodity tax audits, including preparation of support, responding to government/external auditors\' queries, and resolution of audit issues
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and tracking and monitoring of indirect taxes
- Stay abreast of commodity tax legislative changes and positions to ensure appropriate planning, compliance and reporting
- Advise the business on indirect tax implications of various projects and initiatives
- Work with 3rd party consultants on tax recoveries and other tax incentives
- Actively identify and develop opportunities to improve and automate processes, including through the use of technology
- Support Head of Tax, Finance team and business units with respect to commodity tax queries, research, analysis and recommendation of solutions.
