Director of Executive Liability, Commercial Insurance Your knowledge and experience in the commercial insurance specialty lines of D&O Liability, EPL, Fiduciary Liability, Professional Liability, Fidelity/Crime and Cyber combined with your attention to detail and sales focus are the keys to success in the role of Director of Executive Liability. In this role you are responsible for acting as a resource for the entire firm in the specialty areas noted, supporting broking and client facing account teams. You will work with other senior leaders in developing strategies in your specialty area to support and grow the business. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurers
• Negotiating contracts with insurers and assisting with portfolio management within the specialty lines noted
• Managing claims process with Client Executives, claims team, clients, and insurers
• Travel as required to visit insurers, clients, or association events
• Representing and promoting Acera Insurance Services Ltd. (\xe2\x80\x9cAcera\xe2\x80\x9d) at trade shows and events
• Managing and working with various Client Executives to meet the needs of clients and insurers
• Developing presentation and marketing material as required
• Prospecting new clients using various methods including cold calling, networking events, association events, social media, and other forms of sales activity
• Direct broking and conducting market negotiations for key clients and supporting the broking team in market negotiations for all clients
• Creating best practices for broking and the development of preferred wordings or coverage enhancements
• Other duties and responsibilities as required

LOCATION AND STATUS

• Calgary, AB, Kelowna BC, Burnaby BC, or another Acera location
• Full-time, permanent

QUALIFICATIONS

• 15+ years of related and progressive experience in the insurance industry with a strong historic focus practicing within the specialty lines described and their related insurance products
• University education, with major in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
• Alberta Level 2 License is required
• CIP or CAIB designation, or working towards is considered an asset
