Director of Engineering - Luxury Mountain Resort
Location: Whistler, BC
Salary: $130,000-$145,000 + bonus + benefits
I'm hiring on behalf of a well-known luxury hotel brand in Whistler, BC, known for its upscale mountain setting, year-round adventure offerings, and exceptional guest experience.
We're looking for a Director of Engineering to lead all property maintenance, capital planning, and engineering operations. This role oversees a large team and supports multiple departments to ensure the hotel is operating at the highest standard--both front and back of house.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily engineering operations and long-term capital projects
- Lead a team across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
- Ensure safety, compliance, and preventative maintenance programs
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and sustainability initiatives
- Play a key role in emergency response and property risk management
- 3-5+ years of engineering leadership in hospitality or large facilities
- Strong technical background (Class 4 Power Engineer preferred)
- Hands-on leader with a passion for high standards and team development
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
