Responsibilities of the Director of Engineering - Data Centers:
Define and execute the North American engineering roadmap, ensuring scalable, resilient, and efficient operations
Oversee design, construction, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and network systems
Ensure continuous uptime through redundancy, disaster recovery, and monitoring
Collaborate with hardware, software, and security teams to deliver high-performance solutions
Drive adoption of emerging technologies and plan for future capacity growth
Lead vendor negotiations and align service performance across Canada and the U.S.
Ensure compliance with all Canadian and U.S. safety and engineering standards
Mentor engineering leaders to foster collaboration, growth, and technical excellence
Qualifications for the Director of Engineering - Data Centers:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Related field
Minimum 7 years of experience in data center engineering or infrastructures operations, ideally with cross border or multi-site responsibility
Advanced knowledge of data center hardware, network design, and optimization of power and cooling systems.
Strong track record of leading multi-disciplinary and geographically distributed teams
Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and aligning technical strategy with corporate growth objectives.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Bilingual (French & English) preferred
Proven ability to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance resiliency, efficiency, and sustainability
Familiarity with both Canadian and U.S. compliance frameworks
