Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Execution 30%
Develop, communicate, and execute long- and short-term strategies for all four divisions in alignment with FundyPros' corporate goals.
Establish and monitor divisional objectives, ensuring effective use of financial, human, and physical resources.
Maintain a strong focus on financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, income statements, and cost control.
Anticipate market changes and position divisions for sustainable growth, client satisfaction, and competitive advantage.
Represent FundyPros in key negotiations, customer engagements, and industry relationships.
Operations & Project Oversight 20%
Oversee the delivery of projects across all divisions to ensure they are completed on time, on budget, and to required specifications.
Implement performance monitoring systems to track progress, quality, and financial results.
Support Division Managers with guidance on estimating, project management, scheduling, and cost efficiency.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and reduce inefficiencies.
People Leadership, Performance Management & Accountability 30%
Lead, mentor, and influence Division Managers and supervisory staff to deliver high performance.
Ensure clear communication of expectations, holding leaders accountable for results while providing coaching and support.
Build strong leadership capacity within each division, promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
Foster cross-divisional collaboration to optimize resources and achieve company-wide outcomes.
Establishes methodologies to set productivity and quality targets for respective division managers and assess results for all projects.
Monitors and analyses departmental metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and proposes operations improvements and cost savings for future projects.
Health, Safety & Compliance 10%
Ensure all divisions comply with FundyPros' safety programs and provincial/federal safety regulations.
Support Division Managers in conducting site audits, hazard identification, and incident investigations.
Promote a safety-first culture and ensure all staff receive appropriate training and resources.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement 10%
Strengthen relationships with clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and suppliers to secure repeat and new business.
Support Division Managers in resolving client concerns and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Promote FundyPros' reputation for quality, safety, and reliability in all business dealings.

Decision-Making
The Director makes decisions on strategy, operations, financial performance, and leadership across the Insulation, Firestop, Flooring, and Residential Divisions. Strategic decisions are made in consultation with the President and aligned with FundyPros' organizational goals, financial objectives, and established policies.
Safety Requirement
The Director regularly visits project sites, requiring adherence to all FundyPros' safety policies and use of PPE. The Director ensures divisional compliance with all safety regulations and promotes a culture of proactive risk management.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Work is split between office, site visits, and client meetings. The incumbent is exposed to construction site conditions, including weather, dust, and noise, while maintaining a professional office-based oversight role.
Staff Development and Leadership
The Director provides oversight, coaching, and mentorship to Division Managers, building leadership capacity at all levels. The role requires fostering accountability, continuous learning, and team collaboration to ensure that divisional leaders deliver on company goals, financial expectations, and operational outcomes.
Education and Expertise Required:
The Director role requires:
Preferably hold a diploma or have relevant experience in drafting, engineering and/or construction related fields.
Have a minimum of 3 years work experience in a leadership role.
Possess good business and accounting skills.
Must be able to read and interpret building drawings and designs.
Competence in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software
Strong competence in the use of the Internet for information research, E-mail, and IT systems generally
Strong knowledge of the construction industry, particularly insulation, firestop, flooring, and residential systems.
Proven ability to build and execute business strategies that align with company objectives.
Strong financial acumen, with the ability to interpret and act on financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Proficiency in project management systems, scheduling, and reporting tools.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
