Job Description

The John McGivney Children's Centre provides paediatric therapy services in the Windsor-Essex County community, enriching and celebrating the lives of children and youth with disabilities to help abilities grow, by providing child-focused, family-centred care. Summary of the Role:



Provide leadership, coaching, and development to managers and client services staff to ensure high-quality, client and family-centred service that is culturally responsive.

Lead organizational and service delivery changes aligned with provincial initiatives, sector modernization, and accreditation/regulatory standards.

Ensure all client services comply with professional college standards, JMCC policies, and community protocols and applicable legislation.

Identify emerging trends, needs, and service gaps; advocate for system improvements, funding, and equity for children and families.

Strengthen cross-agency pathways, transitions, and care models; represent JMCC at local and regional planning tables.

Lead crisis response, emergency planning, and resolution of client/family issues and complaints.

Lead operational planning for client services, establishing goals aligned with the Board's strategic plan.

Develop and monitor program budgets; prepare business cases and support financial reporting.

Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental business plans; ensure compliance with Ministry directives and reporting requirements.

Foster an innovative, equitable, high-quality, and learning-focused work environment.

Attend Board and Board Committee meetings as required.

Identify grants, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships.

Provide organizational leadership for client and family-centred care and lead accreditation processes.

Oversee privacy compliance and related work with the Privacy Officer.

Serve as an ambassador for JMCC in the community.

Qualifications:



Master's Degree or equivalent in a related professional health field; additional education in the field of business would be an asset.

A member of a Regulated Health Profession preferred.

Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in relevant management positions in progressively responsible roles.

Clinical or management experience in paediatric rehabilitation an asset.

Demonstrated understanding of disability, rehabilitation, children's services or related fields and ability to maintain awareness of evolving trends.

Ability to collaborate with staff at all levels of the organization including the JMCC's Board of Directors.

Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders to inform decision making.

Demonstrated knowledge of clinical best practices and outcome based evaluation.

Demonstrated success in design, implementation and evaluation of programs and services.

Demonstrated success in leading, coaching and mentoring others, team building, employee development, and relationship building.

Superior written and verbal communication skills, using a variety of formats, directed to a range of audiences.

Excellent planning, organizational, time management, data analysis and critical thinking skills.

Solution focused problem solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

Well-developed change management skills, inclusive of change at a broader system level.

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools, and Client information Systems.

The candidate must be available to work flexible hours, as required.

French Language Proficiency is an asset.

Pay: $119,436.00-$134,573.00 per year
