Experience Required:

4-5 years of health care experience in a leadership role Graduation from an Approved School of Nursing. Current practising registration with College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) MDS education (Point Click Care) Meets the physical requirements for the role. Related administrative/management experience and an in-depth knowledge of relevant geriatric care and government regulations. Experience with the accreditation, quality improvement and risk-management process is valued

Ensure all regulatory requirements of Licensing, the Health Authority and Provincial/Federal legislative standards are met and/or exceeded. Ensure staff is adhering to established Standards of Nursing Practice and that policies and procedures of our facility are being followed. Assists with and ensure completion of Care Plans. Ensure completion of Admission and Discharge paperwork. Make decisions regarding suitability of residents in conjunction with LTC case worker and follow up on any concerns noted prior to admission. Review and revise medication management and safety policies and procedures Develop schedules for staff and monitor to ensure the duties are completed. Monitor and ensures consistency and quality of resident records. Monitor clinical performance. Provide on-call support for facility emergencies and staffing concerns. Assist with the development of facility and company policies. Follow up and completion of identified concern based on reviews completed by Licensing. Performance Planning and Review - including evaluations and performance concerns Maintain staff records and scheduling. Relieve unscheduled staffing shortages if replacement staff not available - as required. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $107,250.00-$117,000.00 per year
