About the Role In this role, you are a Motivated self-starter who will thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. The Business Development Director is responsible for recruiting Outside Mortgage Agents (OMAs), finding opportunities for growth as well as developing our referral partners\' network. The Director of Business Development is responsible for the training and support for 8Twelve Power Network. A snapshot of a typical week:
  • Recruiting Mortgage Agents
  • Effectively manage the relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • To actively prospect, identify and recruit new agents from a broad mix of experiences.
  • To develop agents into profitable producers by understanding their needs and finding opportunities to maximize business levels through training and development.
  • Having a thorough understanding of our products and criteria and being able to identify profitable opportunities.
  • To effectively manage a large network, maintaining the relationships and driving more business from these relationships.
  • To own and understand the dynamics of your accountabilities to ensure that the strategy is regularly reviewed and adjusted where required.
Requirements Success looks like, if you are:
  • Experienced. To succeed in this role we\'re asking for 10+ years of experience in multiple areas of mortgages, mortgage licensing, supervisory or management.
    • Mortgage Agent License
  • Driven. Motivation is key, we\'re looking for individuals with a remarkable drive to learn and reach goals. Despite the requirements listed below!
  • A problem solver. Proven problem-solving skills and agility to anticipate and table any task assigned.
  • A skilled prioritizer. Ability to understand and prioritize workflow priorities while taking initiative to begin, track, and complete tasks and/or projects.
  • A strong communicator. Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, clients, and lenders.
  • Proficient with technology. The ability to work efficiently and effectively within a Mac-based environment using multiple software platforms such as Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Google Docs
  • One to get the job done. Flexible to work outside of core business hours when needed
