When your actions lead to success.
Effectively manage activities related to payroll production for all of our Canadian & American plants.
  • Act as a \xe2\x80\x9cBusiness Partner\xe2\x80\x9d and provide unparalleled service to internal and external clients in accordance with service agreements.
  • Ensure adequate internal controls (52-109) and updated process documentation. Ensure compliance with legal obligations related to payroll.
  • Develop, analyze and report on monitoring and performance indicators to the management team and internal clients.
  • Collaborate closely with plant controllers, payroll accounting, taxation and treasury.
Manage payroll systems and integration and operational efficiency projects
  • Ensure payroll systems are aligned with the latest industry practices.
  • Be the Product Owner on the Agile IT (PeopleSoft) team to prioritize development initiatives based on their return on investment (ROI) and work with external suppliers.
  • Promote the implementation of work methods and / or tools to improve operational efficiency and foster innovation and manage change.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop a joint vision for HR & payroll systems (HRMS).
  • Manage the integration of payroll activities during acquisition by coordinating the project team.
Manage a team of a dozen people located in Ville St-Laurent and Greenville.
  • Develop the vision for the payroll department. Mobilize the team towards common objectives by communicating the orientations of the department.
  • Act as a model by conveying the values of TC (Respect, Performance, Innovation, Teamwork).
  • Establish individual work and employee development goals to manage performance and optimize talent. Meet regularly with employees and offer \xe2\x80\x9ccoaching\xe2\x80\x9d.
When your expertise drives us.
  • University degree in administration or human resources
  • 10 years of relevant experience in payroll and human resources
  • Recognized payroll certification (Canadian & American)
  • Experience in multi-site personnel management (Canada & US)
  • Knowledge of payroll accounting, a valuable asset
  • Experience in managing payroll centralization projects within a shared services department and implementing new payroll systems, a valuable asset
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HR & Finance, an asset
  • Knowledge of the ADP & Kronos system (an asset) or other similar payroll system
  • Knowledge of Office 365 software (Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Bilingualism (French and English), Spanish an asset as daily conversations with operations all over North America is essential to this role.
