eHealth Saskatchewan \xe2\x80\x93 Technology Division About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Technology & Chief Technology Officer, the Director of IT Operations North oversees the day-to-day management, operations, and continual improvement of the IT Operations North portfolio. This position directs the work of teams across the northern half of province to ensure the planning, delivery and management of the portfolio. This position is highly customer facing/focused, as IT Operations play a critical role in delivering IT services and support to the Health Sector. This role facilitates the development of processes, strategies, plans, and designs for the successful implementation of IT operational support, as well as IT facility based projects, in collaboration with internal and external partners. This role also provides leadership for operational delivery and management practice oversight within their specific portfolio.
Specific responsibilities include:

• Direct and support the development of business strategies and designs to meet the business needs
• Direct and lead teams in providing customer facing, high quality operational support to both internal and external partners.
• Direct and lead the development of processes, specifications, detailed plans, budgets and implementation strategies that support the implementation of IT operational support in alignment with provincial standards;
• Oversee the planning, implementation and maintenance of IT facility infrastructure, systems and end user devices.
• Develop the work standards and practices for the IT Operations North portfolio
• Develop coalitions within the Healthcare Sector, working collaboratively with both internal and external partners to meet their requirements
• Provide leadership for the proactive identification, development and implementation of opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency and effectiveness in IT operational support for Health Sector partners;
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for technology adoption and process improvements.
• As a key member of the senior leadership team, participate in developing long-term, strategic plans and provide guidance for strategic initiatives for IT Operations, End User Devices and Facility IT Infrastructure that enables health system goals and objectives;
• Provide support and advice pertaining to the department\xe2\x80\x99s mandate to partners, eHealth Saskatchewan\xe2\x80\x99s Senior Executives and by extension senior leaderships across the Saskatchewan Health Sector;
• Foster strong relationships with internal, health sector and vendor partners;
• Providing leadership and guidance within the team through instruction, coaching and mentoring;
• Develop and manage operational and project budgets; and
• Promote \xe2\x80\x9csystems thinking\xe2\x80\x9d approach and proactively engage and maintain communications with other departments and organizations to determine needs of solutions maintained and / or supported by eHealth.
