Position: Director of IT Audit
Location: On-site (3 days per week) - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Job Type: PermanentAbout Us:Join the dynamic team at our client, a well-known retail crown corporation, as they are seeking a talented and experienced Director of IT Audit to lead their IT Audit portfolio.About the Role:As the Director of IT Audit, you will play a critical role in managing the IT Audit portfolio within the Internal Audit Services. Reporting to the VP of Audit, you will collaborate closely with senior members of the IT Division to develop and execute the IT audit plan for each planning cycle. Your responsibilities will include presenting audit results to senior management and the Audit Committee, managing a full-time staff member, and overseeing co-sourcing arrangements as needed.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a risk-based IT audit plan for inclusion in the overall Internal Audit Plan.
- Execute IT audit engagements within agreed-upon scope and timelines.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with senior management and the Audit Committee.
- Foster collaboration between IAS IT Audit and company divisions.
- Ensure audit work adheres to IIA Standards for Professional Practice.
- Prepare the IT Audit portion of the annual business plan for IAS.
- Manage IT Audit staffing, performance management, coaching, mentoring, and budget tracking.About You:- 10+ years in IT internal audit.
- Familiarity with IT control frameworks (COBIT, NIST, etc.).
- University Degree (4-year degree preferred).
- Professional Designation: CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent.
- Experience in a leadership role in a comparable size organization.
- Proficiency in data analytics.
