Dream\xe2\x80\x99s Asset Management Team is currently looking for a Director, Investments to help our team execute on its Canadian industrial and logistics growth strategy. Who are you? You are proactive, leading by example rather than sitting back. You consider the bigger picture when focusing on new initiatives and you thrive on driving improvement and efficiency. You are well-organized and can lead the Investments process from beginning to end. You have strong existing relationships with brokers and investors active in the industrial and logistics space, and strong networking skills to identify off-market opportunities. You have strong financial analysis and investment underwriting skills. What will you do? Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role:

• Spend most of your time focusing on the industrial and logistics investments process, with a portion of your time dedicated to development
• Source, underwrite and coordinate due diligence on IPP and land acquisitions and potential acquisitions, dispositions and other investment and portfolio initiatives;
• Work with the broader Dream team to determine appropriate underwriting assumptions;
• Complete research on key markets and specific sub-markets for opportunities based on our investments and development strategy;
• Assist in preparing internal reporting, investment committee memos, board memos, and asset plans;
• Coordinate and negotiate with brokers, advisors and counsel through the pre-closing, closing and post-closing;
• Prepare analysis and reports on various initiatives;
• Be a reliable resource for all levels of the company, including senior management;
• Assist in various industrial and logistics asset management functions, as necessary;
• Maintain key industrial and logistics databases; and
• Create and maintain financial models for investments, asset management and related initiatives.

What type of experience do you have? These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business, Economics or Real Estate. Enrolled in or completed the following programs CFA/CPA/AACI/MBA is a bonus but not necessary depending on work experience;
• 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an investments or investments/leasing role in a high paced environment, preferably with at least two years focus specifically in the industrial and logistics sector;
• Exceptional financial modelling and underwriting skills, with a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
• Excellent knowledge of and comfort working with Argus DCF and Argus Enterprise;
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring junior members of an Investments team;
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both oral and written; superior interpersonal skills;
• Strong attention to detail and organization is required; and
• Superior interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
