The Infrastructure Services function has the mandate to ensure that all resources and tools needed to manage the provisioning, capacity, performance, availability and security of the computing, networking and application environment are available and secured. This includes the processes associated with delivering the right set of technology services at the right quality, and cost effectively for the business as well as the technology architecture design and oversight of the corporate and property infrastructure environments.
The key goals of the Director, Infrastructure Services are as follows:
To provide technology infrastructure services including network connectivity, systems (servers) and cloud (IaaS and PaaS) services to the company in a continuously improving way.
To secure . the infrastructure assets and services to maintain confidentiality, availability and integrity of the data and assets.
To provide IT operational consultation and guidance to our Development and Operations organizations in terms of best practices, technology engineering and design, implementation, and support of building technology for our various asset classes.
What you will deliver:
Leads a team of dedicated and experienced IT professionals who ensure that infrastructure capabilities and services are appropriate for operational requirements.
Takes a lead role in developing the business strategy for IT infrastructure Operations function by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.
Engagement with Development to create and maintain a charter for a revised General Performance Standards (GPS) specific to IT designs, standards, and specifications for new projects.
Engage with Operations Services to establish infrastructure and technology specifications to support Smart Building Strategy.
Responsible for Service Level Management through the analysis, development and improvement of technology, information security, IT procurement and IP telephony standards across the organization to maintain a technological, secured, and competitive edge that is aligned with Company strategy.
Creates IT infrastructure architecture, plans and roadmaps supporting business strategies
Works closely with IT management to ensure that IT Infrastructure and Operations meet business needs and objectives.
Works closely with Information Security to implement processes and controls to comply with the cybersecurity program which will include
next generation strategy for property network segregation.
Collaborates with Information Security, Data &Technology and business leadership in the planning and implementation of cybersecurity incident management, backup, and recovery, and remediation of IT infrastructure for corporate and property domains.
Provides consultation and guidance to our Development and Operations organizations in terms of defined specifications, best practices, design, implementation, and support of building technology for properties in our asset classes.
Provides thought leadership in cost optimization, innovation, and efficiency improvement.
Develops stronger Client relationships to support service objectives with the Senior Manager of Client Services.
Continuous improvement in developing stronger operational and service delivery partnerships with other departments.
Actively participates in technology industry events and development of strategic partnerships.
Research solutions, solicits input from outside industry experts and recommends solutions to meet business requirements.
Defines requirements with key business stakeholders to understand needs and align the property technology environments, platforms, and IT operations appropriately.
Define and communicate corporate procedures, policies, and standards for the IT Infrastructure and Operations groups.
Responsible for the short and long-term strategic plans to ensure Infrastructure availability, capacity, security, and IT service continuity that meets existing and future requirements.
Ensures effective execution of major IT operations related projects through the complete project lifecycle, undertaking proactive monitoring of costs, timescales, and resources throughout.

What you need to succeed:
Minimum of 10 years' experience managing and/or directing technology operations
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience working with multi-platform systems and related software
Minimum of 10 years' management experience within a customer-focused IT client service and/or operations environment
University or College degree in the field of computer science, business administration or relevant field
V3 ITIL Essentials Certification
Strong understanding of building operational systems and solutions
Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development
Excellent knowledge of a wide range of technology environments
Excellent understanding of project management principles
Proven experience in planning, organization, and development
Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems
