Discover how you can make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.:About the role:This role leads the teams responsible for fund related services for GRS (Group Retirement Services) clients. This individual will also play a critical role on many projects and operational issues in GRS through the providing their unique technical expertise on the operation of the Global recordkeeping system in the valuation of the GRS segregated funds. This individual will also be accountable for ensuring a strong control environment exists over the GRS segregated funds contained on Global and the Cash Flow management process, as there is over $10 billion a year in cash flow to and from the Asset Managers & any errors can have a significant financial impact to GRS.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing

  • Lead a team of nine highly technical employees including four professional accountants.
  • Oversee a team who processes daily trades and transactions for 100+ stock funds
  • Owns the daily pre-processing of large client transactions and handling fee payments to all fund managers that GRS while ensuring that all payments are correctly set up to ensure the proper fee rates/amounts are paid to each fund manager.
  • Provide support and implement solutions to any fund related issues or needs
  • Provide support on all fund-related client audit inquiries that are outside of the Client Services audit team expertise
  • Accountable for ensuring the GRS segregated funds have appropriate Business Continuity procedures in place.
  • Accountable for ensuring that Fund & Trust procedures have appropriate Sarbanes Oxley controls and that those controls continue to operate in an effective and efficient manner
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to succeed
  • Professional designation in Account, Finance or Investments along with 5+ years of relevant experience in a finance leadership role
  • Knowledge of fund and trust systems (Global and PAM) and administration procedures related to fund processing would be an asset
  • Experience working in or leading a team within an operations environment
  • Effective people leader with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven track record of partnering with and influencing business units to drive results
  • Operates with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interact effectively with senior management and clients
  • Solutions oriented with ability to balance client requirements with GRS capabilities
