Job Summary

The Daycare Director oversees the daily operations of the non-profit child care centre, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years. The Director provides leadership to staff, supports families, and ensures compliance with Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations and Flight: Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations, staff scheduling, and child enrollment. Ensure compliance with Alberta licensing and health and safety standards. Support educators in planning and delivering play-based, developmentally appropriate programs. Build strong partnerships with families and respond to their needs and concerns. Maintain accurate records and documentation required by licensing. Oversee budgeting, fee collection, and funding or grant applications. Promote a positive, team-oriented, and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications

Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 3 Certificate (required). 1-2 years of experience in a licensed child care setting, with some leadership or supervisory experience. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Flight: Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework. Current First Aid/CPR and clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
