Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.To learn more about CIBC, please visitWhat Youll Be DoingAs a Director, you will report to the Senior Director, Liquidity & Financial Crisis Management and help - and often lead - the design, coordination, management and delivery of large, multi-stakeholder projects. You will become an integral contributor to CIBCs Recovery & Resolution Plan deliverables, and will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of comprehensive contingency plans for the Banks Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs), ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will also support the maintenance and enhancement of a comprehensive liquidity management framework to measure, monitor, and analyze liquidity risk for the bank.You will also apply technical expertise to ensure efficient, accurate and timely support of various financial crisis management initiatives, including testing design, coordination and execution and will be instrumental in modernizing CIBCs suite of crisis management plans to ensure our Banks ability to manage stress.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.   • Diversity of Banking Experience - We see the whole Bank in the work that we do, and having experience in multiple areas of our Bank or a diversity of roles within the financial industry is beneficial.
  • FMI Contingency Planning - Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive contingency plans for CIBCs critical FMIs, to ensure Banks preparedness to maintaining continued access to clearing, payment, settlement and custody services during financial crisis.
  • Liquidity Management Governance and Controls - Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of liquidity metrics through execution and continued development of the governance & controls within the liquidity management framework.
  • Process Improvements - Establish initiatives to further the liquidity management framework, improving measurement, reporting and analysis.
  • Training and Awareness - Provide training and guidance to relevant stakeholders on contingency planning, liquidity management and relevant regulatory requirements to enhance organizational preparedness and awareness.
  • Writing and Presenting - Write and enhance the Banks financial crisis management plans, create/summarize technical reports and presentations related to key regulatory and internal deliverables, ultimately presenting them to senior audiences, including bank executives, industry peers and regulators.
  • Technical Knowledge - An understanding of global regulatory requirements (Basel III, FSB), liquidity management, OSFIs Recovery Planning and CDICs Resolution Planning requirements and related deliverables.
  • Relationship Management - Develop relationships with internal partners and stakeholders to ensure effective end-to-end process management and advisory with a high degree of accountability.
Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate extensive experience in financial services, with a focus on Treasury, Finance, and Risk Management. You have understanding of global regulatory requirements (Basel III, FSB), liquidity management, OSFIs Recovery Planning and CDICs Resolution Planning requirements and related deliverables.
  • You have strong understanding of Financial Market Infrastructures, including their roles, functions, operations and interdependencies.
  • You love to learn. You're passionate about growing your knowledge and developing your skills, and you know that there is no limit to what you can achieve. You have a keen interest in the Treasury function, Liquidity Management, and you have solid knowledge of financial products across all asset classes.
  • Its an asset, if you have proven experience in contingency planning, crisis management, or risk management within the financial services industry, preferably with a focus on bank resolution planning.
