The Opportunity
The Director of Facilities Services is responsible for the strategic leadership of TC Energy's corporate real estate and facilities portfolio across North America. This role oversees leased and company-owned properties, drives enterprise facilities strategy, and ensures optimal utilization, compliance, and cost efficiency. The position also leads corporate services functions, including Office and Print Services, and manages the annual Facilities budget.
What You'll do
Facilities Management & Real Estate Strategy

  • Lead corporate real estate and facilities portfolio, including lease negotiations, renewals, amendments, procurement and operational management of facilities across Canada, the US and Mexico.
  • Oversee lease administration and management of TC Energy-owned and leased properties, ensuring commercial rigor, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.
  • Direct acquisitions and divestitures of real estate assets, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Initiate, negotiate, and manage major vendor and landlord contracts related to facilities operations and workspace projects.
Enterprise Facilities Leadership
  • Provide enterprise-level leadership for facilities operations across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, ensuring consistent service delivery, governance, and performance standards.
  • Oversee and manage third-party service providers and consultants across the facilities portfolio.
  • Translate corporate and workforce strategy into long-term workplace, infrastructure, and facilities plans.
  • Drive workspace planning and execution of office projects across multiple regions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
Budget & Financial Management
  • Manage a near $35 million Facilities budget.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
Health, Safety, Compliance
  • Ensure facilities operations comply with regulatory requirements, building codes, occupational health & safety standards, and corporate policies.
  • Partner with internal health, safety, and compliance teams to proactively manage facilities-related risk and audit readiness.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Facilities Management, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred. * 15+ years in commercial real estate, facilities management, or corporate services.
  • Proven track record in tenant representation, property transactions, and strategic real estate planning.
  • Experience managing large budgets and complex, multi-region operations, including direct and indirect budget oversight
  • Strong lease negotiation, contract management, and vendor management expertise.
  • Strong understanding of facilities-related compliance, safety, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of commercial real estate markets and trends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to work effectively with brokers, developers, and other stakeholders to negotiate and execute complex real estate transactions.
  • Track record of successfully managing large-scale real estate portfolios and overseeing corporate services functions to deliver strategic business outcomes.
